MOTIVATIONAL MOMENT November 17, 2019
When am I going to get mine? My home? My dream career? My new spouse? My debts cleared? We all at some point may have wondered and asked God some of these things. We have heard “name it and claim it” and “what God has for you is for you” …well, you may ask, where is it? Why is it taking so long?
Don’t worry. God has not forgotten. And His word is true.
Now what are we doing while we are waiting? Have you completed the last thing God told you to do? Are you preparing for the answer you desire to manifest? Even more, are you blessing others around you where there are needs while you wait on God. The same energy it takes to whine and complain about why your desires have not manifested is the same energy that can be used to rejoice in the Lord and trust in Him while you patiently wait. Grace the Lord’s ears with words of trust and gratitude…believing He will do just what He said. Psalms 33:4-6 says “for the word of the Lord is right and true; He is faithful in all He does.” Trust that He has not forgotten you. You are not His first rodeo! Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you. Plans to prosper you and not to harm you; plans to give you hope and a future.”
A grateful heart in Christ believes His word and shows it with gratitude and no complaints or fretting and frustration. My favorite scripture when I feel myself becoming frazzled is…”Be still and know that I am God.” No one else can fill His place. Still feeling anxious? His word says “Be anxious for NOTHING but by prayer and supplication make your request known to God.”
We are all waiting on something. Do your soul a favor and practice patience with the will to trust the One who patiently waits for YOU to follow through with what He calls YOU to do. I don’t hear Him complaining.
