Have you noticed that some people get a little promotion and don’t know how to handle that power nor the authority tied to it? You see it at home, at work…even in the political arena…I won’t mention names but when there is a level of immaturity from a person granted power and authority, it can be pretty scary! Now, when Christ died on the cross, buried and rose from the dead, all power and authority was officially and completely in his hands. When we give our lives to Him, we have access to His power and authority. That also includes the fruit of the spirit… “…the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. Now those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.”- Galatians 5:22-26 So many of us are in a hurry to get promoted and be in charge of whatever it may be. However, be grateful to God that He teaches and trains us through pruning and patience. Remember, so many of us say we are waiting on God but…sometimes God is waiting on YOU…to mature and walk in the fruit of the spirit so you can handle the power and authority you desire without abusing, manipulating and hurting others. Yes, what God has for you IS for you and that day is coming! Be ready with the right mind, heart, soul and spirit…the fruit of the spirit…so people will get a taste of excellent character and not an ambitious clown that reeks havoc on everyone else, that leaves a bad taste in their mouths. Be encouraged, God’s grace is awesome. He is allowing many of you to prepare yourself now for the blessings ahead.
