MOTIVATIONAL MOMENT December 29, 2019
Do you ever wish you could start your life over again? Do you ever say to yourself…”If I only knew then what I know now.” I certainly have. But after much prayer and plenty of crying nights in the past, I have to say for the most part, I DID know then what I know now. What’s different from then and now? Wisdom. Experience. And most of all, a consistent committed relationship with the Lord. All those things came years later after bumps, breakups and blunders.
However, guess who was there the whole time? Jesus!
Even before I gave my life to Him…He was there and He is here with me AND you!! He gives us so many resources INCLUDING the Bible…His word, to help us navigate in this sometimes painful and other times powerful and exciting world. Still, God is the same yesterday, today and forever.
As we approach this coming new year, if you haven’t already, give your life to Christ.
If you have, dedicate your heart to discipline your life to become more like Him. He said in His word "I will never leave you nor forsake you.”
Discipline leads to greater understanding. Study the word and biblical study books, videos and sermons on whatever issue or challenge you are trying to deal with. Seek the Lord on how to find the answers on the next steps in your life. I just finished one of the most dynamic books I ever read, titled “Master of One” ‘Find and Focus on the work you were created to do’, by Jordan Raynor. No, he didn’t pay me to say it. I have a treasure of lifetime knowledge just from reading it that has helped boost me to the next stage God is directing me to - and how to prepare for it. What God has called YOU to do will glorify Him, serve others and bless you beyond measure. I posted the book info on the Joy in the Morning Facebook page and will do my best in the coming year to keep you abreast on many resources to help you move and be and have your being in Christ both now and forever more!
